This is not an ISAA sponsored event, but a local even happening in Daytona Beach that our members might be interested in.

The Oyster Reef Restoration Society along with Costa Del Mar is putting together the first annual Halifax Oyster Festival. The festival will be held on Manatee Island in Downtown Daytona Beach on Saturday, March 27th. Join us for a day of live music, great food, beer, refreshments, and all the oysters your stomach can handle! Festivities start at 10:00AM and end at 5:30PM, rain or shine.

Local restaurant vendors will be selling raw, steamed, and specialty oysters harvested from the Daytona Beach area as well as other menu items. Profits will go towards the restoration of local oyster beds and shells from the event will be recycled to promote oyster bed restoration.

Entry is $5, which gets you 5 food and drink tickets and a token to vote for your favorite oyster dish. Children 10 and under are free. See ya there!
